Do... Avoid sun exposure, like tanning, for 48-72 hours after waxing.
Do... stay away from salt scrubs or AHAs for 48-72 hours... Ouch!
Do... stay away from products with fragrance in them... Can we say RASH!
Do... Use an anti-bacteria cream post wax for at least the first 72 hours or longer if you are extra prone to breakouts after waxing to help prevent ingrowns and breakouts. I like Clear-it from Eva's Esthetics and just plain old Lavender Essential oil (but use a good quality one)
Do... Help calm the area with a product that contains... azulene, chamomile or lavender
Do... dry brush every day!!! Not only does it help with ingrowns, but it exfoliates and help move lymph through out the body. Start at the feet and work upwards towards the heart. Do the same thing with the arms. This is the best thing you can do for the skin on you whole body.
Do... Invest (they cost anywhere from $1-$5) in a pair of loofah scrub gloves. These are the best, best, best when it comes to fighting ingrown hairs. Paired with a great body wash (not a bar of soap. YUCK!) your skin will be soft and blemish free!
